Position Overview Concord Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Science Teacher to join our growing academic team. This role involves teaching Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics courses, ranging from regular to AP level, while supporting students’ academic growth and college readiness in a small, student-centered learning environment. Key Responsibilities Teach high school science courses including Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics (regular and AP levels) Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans Prepare students for AP exams and support strong academic outcomes Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including international students Maintain accurate records of grades, assignments, and student progress Collaborate with academic leadership on curriculum development and instructional improvement Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Support a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar) Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level Experience teaching AP-level courses strongly preferred Familiarity with College Board AP curriculum and exam requirements Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to work with students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds Passion for teaching and supporting student success Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching international or ESL/ELL students Experience with curriculum development or AP program design Familiarity with LMS platforms and student information systems (e.g., Blackbaud) Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan #J-18808-Ljbffr Novel Prep
