Client is seeking an experienced Web Designer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web-based applications supporting City departments and public-facing digital services.
The selected consultant will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive web pages and websites while incorporating modern GUI elements, accessibility standards, and user experience (UX) best practices. The Web Designer will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, content owners, and technical teams to ensure websites remain current, functional, engaging, and aligned with organizational branding standards.


The ideal candidate will possess strong web design expertise, front-end development knowledge, UX/UI skills, and experience maintaining content-rich websites in a dynamic enterprise environment.


Experience
• 3+ years of professional Web Design experience.
• Experience designing and developing websites and web-based applications.
• Experience creating responsive and mobile-friendly web interfaces.
• Experience incorporating modern GUI elements and UX/UI design principles.
• Experience maintaining and updating website content.
• Experience managing promotional content, banner advertisements, and marketing materials.
• Experience supporting website redesigns and modernization initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with developers and business stakeholders.
• Experience ensuring website accessibility, usability, and performance.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting web applications and websites.


Skills
• Strong web design and front-end development skills.
• Excellent understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles.
• Strong visual design and layout skills.
• Experience creating responsive website designs.
