Job Summary
Help deliver the technology behind critical missions as an Associate Buyer supporting our Melbourne team remotely. You’ll work with suppliers and internal partners to place purchase orders, track costs and deliveries, and resolve issues that keep programs moving. Job Responsibilities
Expedite open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery commitments and schedule changes.
Support buyers with documentation, purchase order updates, and routine procurement transactions.
Update and maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system, including purchase order status, requisition updates, and related line notes.
Ensure timely and accurate system updates to support material visibility, procurement status, and business reporting.
Provide surge support across the procurement organization based on workload, shortages, and business priorities.
Assist in resolving routine supplier delivery issues through follow-up and internal coordination.
Support reporting, status reviews, and follow-up actions related to procurement activities.
Coordinate with buyers, planning, operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure procurement information is current and accurate.
Escalate issues impacting delivery, system accuracy, or procurement execution to the appropriate level.
Help maintain data integrity across purchasing records and support continuous improvement in purchasing processes and status visibility.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and 0+ years of experience in Purchasing
Ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc.
Basic negotiating skills
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
