SSM Health SLUCare Academic is seeking a fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join our growing team at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital , a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center . This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a high-acuity academic environment while contributing to the education and training of future surgeons through Saint Louis University School of Medicine .

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery services at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital (and the VA for applicable split-role positions)
• Participate in trauma call coverage according to the established schedule
• Engage in teaching, mentorship, research, and scholarly activities
• Maintain compliance with risk management, quality assurance, coding, and documentation standards
• Participate in community outreach, education, and program development initiatives

Qualifications:

Education:

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency
• Completion of a Trauma/Critical Care or Surgical Critical Care fellowship

Licensure & Certification:

• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care

Experience:

• Academic experience preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, mentorship, and research
