Study Guides can be pricey buying separate, but worth it to have so I am so happy to get it included in this paperback book. Even though Joyce is not a therapist, she has herself been through everything she teaches on. Her Study Guide activities really hep get to the heart of the matter becasue they are coming from one who KNOWS what it is like and has themselves found healing. Her study Guides are like a Healing Guide to me. I have never come across anything remotely objectionable in any of her books or Study Guides. I personally heard from an Islamist and an Athiest that they read a book or more and found them very helpful. I have read her books with and without the use of a Study Guide. I love the Study Guides because without them the material in the book may not stir up the Spirit to reveal things in the same way. We work on the Study Guide one chapter at a time after reading each book chapter. It is so helpful not only in understanding and cementing the material into my brain – it gets me more and/or different prompts and revelation from the Spirit on things personal to me in relation to the subject matter. Try one, you cannot go wrong.

Joyce nicely uses scripture- great scrupture- to prove and support her pony that God created us in His image and as He spoke the world into existence, we also have the power, by our words, to speak life into our own life and others. As we do this, miracles begin to happen and God hears us and is of course pleased to hear our faith spoken out loud.
This technique also has a profound effect in redirecting our thoughts, actions, and mood into a positive direction. Which of course changes our actions and ultimately life choices. This is what God meant, for us to be co-creating with Him, for our good and His glory.

The title of this book would steer many people the other way. After all, who wants to admit that they have a serious problem with having a big mouth? It took a serious life event to cause me to realize that my mouth was sometimes causing me more trouble than good. As always, Joyce Meyer has a remarkable way of speaking truth in a way that convicts rather than condemns. Her use of scripture to support her statements was spot-on. Using this text along with the accompanying study guide has been life-changing for me and even though it is not one of Joyce’s newer creations, it contains timeless truths and is well worth the read!
